How Elite Epoxy Flooring Jacksonville Works
Elite Epoxy Flooring Jacksonville installs resin coatings on concrete: garage floors, flake and chip floors, polyaspartic systems, metallic epoxy, industrial and warehouse floors, and pool decks and lanais. We work across Jacksonville and Duval County, out to the Beaches, south into St. Johns County, west and southwest into Clay County, and north into Nassau County.
The name is the name of the business. It is not a ranking. What we can tell you is how we go about a job, because that is what decides whether a coating lasts in Northeast Florida.
What we look at first
Most coating failures we are asked about trace back to one of four things: moisture working up through the slab, coats rolled on when the air was close to its dew point, a topcoat that was never meant to sit in sunlight, or prep that skipped grinding. Jacksonville's air is humid most of the year, and summer afternoons bring heat and storms. Those conditions are normal here, so the plan for a floor has to account for them before anyone opens a can.
How a job runs
- Visit and measure. We stop by, tape off the dimensions and ask what the room really does: two cars, a boat on a trailer, a workshop bench, a golf cart, a pool, forklifts.
- Test the slab. A meter reading tells us how much moisture is in the concrete, and we check cracks, joints, old paint or sealer, oil, and any sign the space has taken on water.
- Write it down. Your quote is on paper and spells out the product line, each coat, the prep, any repairs and the total. If something on the slab changes what we would recommend, the quote says so.
- Prepare the concrete. We diamond grind the surface until it is bare and porous, which gives the resin something to hold, then repair cracks and chips.
- Coat when conditions allow. Before each coat we compare slab temperature with the dew point. When those readings sit too close together, we hold off or pick another day rather than trap moisture under the finish.
- Hand it back. We tell you when it is safe to walk across, when your belongings can return and when the car can come in, based on the product used and the day's conditions.
What we will not do
A slab that is actively wet, a crack that is still moving, or a leak nobody has fixed yet will not get a coating from us. We will tell you when a floor needs a repair first, and we will tell you when a cheaper option fits your space better than the one you asked about.
Talking to us
Call (904) 664-5649 or use the estimate form. Tell us the town, the rough size of the space, and what the floor has to put up with. We will book a visit to see the floor, and the price you get in writing is the price for the work it describes.
